Collective Liberation- It’s Time We See
It's time. It's time that we realize how intertwined our happiness is with one another.
It's time to rise above our individual pain and address the collective, to notice that in fact it is one in the same.
What I'm feeling is not separate from the collective trauma, and I cannot expect to create a little haven only for myself while countless others are suffering poverty, human trafficking, genocide, SA, you name it.
Now more than ever, we can see an interconnectedness of people; and an organized system of oppression and injustice in the world. It is getting to a boiling point and many of us are feeling the waves of change approaching.
There is enough to ensure that everyone is fed, housed, educated. It is not an issue of how but when. When will we prioritize the well being of everyone-- where the elderly are looked after, the mentally ill are not forgotten, where our youth are not forced through an education system that kills their creativity but allows them to find their passion, where people are not forced to work all day just to pay bills until they are so exhausted and spent. When will we prioritize art and beauty and reward the gentle souls? When will we see that war is never the answer and stop rewarding those with the biggest guns?
This photo celebrates my culture and in no way should be a threat to others. My existence has a place. We all have a place here. We have all suffered in so many ways, but it does not give us a right to add suffering onto others.
I'm calling in an age of togetherness, fair trade, social and economic justice, human liberty, and creativity.
What do you yearn to see more of this year? Let's start a wave of manifesting what we want to see in the world
